I'm interested in colour in its fullest transformative sense, the creative process as it relates to the universe at large, the lifted veil of nature and the patterns and textures found in our natural world.

Finding this form is an exploration of stillness and movement, in a tilting and shifting of grains in mind and matter. I use organic and chemical reactive processes with mineral surface qualities and metal pigments and patinas, but rarely a brush, and along with my thoughts and sense of spirituality and alchemy, these are the elemental tools that create the forms embodied in my pieces.

Found stamps are additives that also make up the surface and story of some my pieces. They are robust, gritty and sensitive textural time pieces. the mediums embody a message. The message is consciousness. The old stamps canceled or ‘franked' are Spent messages. The random abstraction of the marking surprises me, like time travel, conjuring a specific place and time from a moment past.

Making visible the hidden details can be revealing. Seeing what was overlooked in a new way- an art  transposed by other forms of communication, and the lost worlds revealed from within 'collective' thought.
