1954 3¢ Nebraska Territorial Centennial. 'FIGHT YOUR INSECT ENEMIES’ slogan cancel.
In the 1950’s, the chemical industry, food indusrtries and military complex began cementing their relationships, and our intestinal tracts. Believing that spraying crops and people with noxious chemicals would protect troops, kill insects and feed the whole world, the campaign to introduce chemicals into the Earth, Air and homes began in the 1850’s.
Around the time the bison were slaughtered and the Native American's were being massacred and rounded up, our mpther the Earth was being sprayed and scorched by man meade chemicals for the first time in memoranble human history. Paris Green, Prussian Blue, Arsenic, lead and a whole lot of other gas and solutions. Troops and crops were dusted with DDT, whilst chemical warfare was development in Dupont's labs. This legacy formed the basis for our current genetically modified world, where agriculture and drug corporations merge to synthesize seeds and foods that will genetically alter humans and our world. Dystopian fiction and a brave new world we're indeed living in, it seems as though the dark insect overlords may have been plotting this for hundreds of years.
